Join us in your Supercar on this luxury tour of a lifetime and take in the magnificent views and mountain air, discover the breath-taking quiet Pyrenees & Picos Mountain roads, staying in the finest hotels.
Let Mark and Michael, our experienced Supercar drivers lead you along with 12 fellow Supercar owners on this 10-day, 9-night trip for a tour dedicated to some of the most covetable driving roads in the Pyrenees & Picos Mountain ranges. The tour consists of mini cruise onboard the ship Port Aven with luxury cabins for both the outward & return journey, evening meals & breakfasts in the A La Carte restaurant are included. We believe this is the best way to transport both you and your car to Pyrenees and keeps the miles low for the enjoyable mountain roads to follow. You'll have one night each way onboard "Port Aven" and seven nights in finest hotels on this tour enjoying the local food and wine from the Basque Mediterranean regions which is included in the tour. Having spent 25 years driving and riding these roads on both the French & Spanish side of the Pyrenees, the quality of the tarmac and perfect corners is the best I've found anywhere in Europe but what really makes it fantastic is the lack of traffic. The EU paid for the refurbishment of these roads and when the main trunk road was built it meant very little traffic use these mountain roads which is great for us Supercar owners looking for the ultimate driving experience.
The Driving
The tour will comprise of approx 1300 miles in total and expected to be a mixture of couples and single participants, we will be driving on typically twisty A and B mountain roads which will be both, focused and exhilarating, it will challenge both you and your car but in doing so you will be far more in tune with your car's capabilities. I remember three years ago stopping to give my arms a rest from turning through so many hairpins on tarmac to perfect to describe. The days will be typically 5-6 hours driving time with a leisurely stop for lunch and fuel. You will enjoy beautiful 4 & 5 star hotels, great dining, and lots of entertainment with like-minded Supercar owners.

DAY 1: Plymouth - Santander
|
Plymouth to Santander- Meeting at the Maritime Docks of Plymouth at around 2pm, upon loading the cars we are shown our cabins on the mini cruise ship "PORT AVEN" which we will be taking to the famous bank city of "SANTANDER" Included onbaord is dinner in the elegant à la carte restaurant, "Le Flora" which is situated at the aft of the ship where you can watch the sea slide by as well as observe our chefs in action in the open kitchen followed by live entertainment in the "Grand La Pavois" lounge bar. There is also Whale and Dolphin watching organised by ORCA on the upper deck.

Port Aven Cruise Ship - On board you will reside in your own luxury large Club Cabin and enjoy a fabulous three coarse dinner in the al a Carte Restraunt. MV Pont-Aven is a cruiseferry operated by Brittany Ferries. She was built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and has been sailing for Brittany Ferries since March 2004. DAY 2: Santander - cangas de onis |
Santander to Cangas de Onis- Breakfast will be served on board Port Aven before disembarkation where we then take the scenic route through "Picos de Europa" eventually arriving at our Parador hotel in Cangas de Onis in Asturias. this is a pretty medieval town beside the stunning mountain backdrop of the Picos de Europa National Park. Cangas de Onís was represented in the Junta General of the principality of Asturias in 1504. Covadonga began to be developed as a pilgrimage site in the 16th century, attracting commerce. The settlement of Cangas de Onís grew rapidly in the mid 19th century.

Parador de Cangas de Onis Hotel-4 Star - Your hotel for the evening is this medieval monastery on the banks of the Sella river in Asturias which is now a four-star Parador that is a comfortable retreat after a days driving in the Picos de Europa mountains. This is a place to soak up the history while enjoying the superb local cuisine..

DAY 3: Cangas de onis - Burgos |
Cangas de Onis to Burgos- In the morning once we've enjoyed a fine breakfast in our Parador hotel we depart on some amazing roads heading for our hotel in Burgos, a city in Castilla-Leon situated in the Pilgrim's Road to Santiago de Compostela, still preserves important vestiges of its medieval splendour.The city, which was the capital of the unified kingdom of Castilla-Leon for five centuries, boasts a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture: the cathedral of Burgos, declared World Heritage. Aside from a visit to the historic quarter, you can take a quite interesting walk along the banks of the Duero and Arlanza rivers. Great places to approach a delicious, varied cuisine.

Parador de Cervera Hotel-4 Star - Your hotel for the evening is Parador de Cervera de Pisuerga this four star hotel is located in the Fuentes Carrionas Nature Reserve, a natural area of unique splendor in northern Palencia Province and the habitual refuge of the brown bear. The hotel is in a wooded area, offering spectacular views, with the waters of Ruesga Reservoir beside it and the Picos de Europa mountains as a backdrop.

DAY 4: burgos - boltana |
Burgos to Boltana- In the morning after enjoying a fine breakfast in our Parador hotel we leave the Picos mountains behind heading for the famous Pyrenees alpine passes eventually arriving in Boltaña which is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. According to the 2004 census, the municipality has a population of 870 inhabitants. Boltaña is the economic development capital of the Sobrarbe comarca.
This evening we stop in our luxury Monastery hotel where will enjoy a relaxed evening meal and catch up on what everyone has experienced so far.

Barcelo Monasterio Hotel-5 star- Your hotel for the evening is Barceló Monasterio de Boltaña which is the result of a complete refurbishment of a 17th-century monastery. Maintaining its essence and history, the hotel is located in the heart of the mountains, at the foot of Ordesa National Park and Monte Perdido.

DAY 5: boltana - andorra |
Boltana to Andorra- After a lovely breakfast in our monastery hotel we head east off on our journey, todays drive is highlighted by roads described by "JEREMY CLARKSON" as his favourite. Arriving in the principality country of "ANDORRA" this tax free haven is situated between the French & Spanish borders.
Andorra is a tiny, independent principality situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains. It’s known for its ski resorts and a tax-haven status that encourages duty-free shopping. Capital Andorra la Vella has boutiques and jewelers on Meritxell Avenue and several shopping centers. The old quarter, Barri Antic, houses Romanesque Santa Coloma Church, with a circular bell tower.
Once the cars are securely parked at our hotel we chill out and enjoy a different cuisine caught between the two counties.

Andorra to Andorra- After breakfast in the hotel, today is designed as a free day where you can either go off and enjoy this amazing principality or take another ADC driving route lead by Mark. We felt it would be a shame for you not to experience a full day and 2 nights in one of the best hotels in Andorra. We can recommend some great places to visit and you may like to split into different groups so individual tastes can be addressed.

DAY 8: Boltana-Pamplona |
Boltana to Pamplona- is the capital of Navarre province in northern Spain. It’s best known for the Running of the Bulls (Feast of San Fermín) in July. During this legendary multiday festival, bulls are led through the city streets by daredevil runners. A major stop along the Camino de Santiago, a medieval-era pilgrimage route, Pamplona is also home to Gothic-style churches including fortresslike San Nicolás.

Santander-Today we head off on some more great driving roads heading for Santander to catch our mini cruise ship "PORT AVEN" Once on board you will be shown your cabins for the overnight sail. Included is dinner in the elegant à la carte restaurant, Le Flora, is situated at the aft of the ship where you can watch the sea slide by as well as observe our chefs in action in the open kitchen.followed by live entertainment in the Grand La Pavois lounge bar. Home Sweet Home- Breakfast is served on the ship and our ETA in Plymouth is around 2pm. There is also Whale and Dolphin watching organised by ORCA on the upper deck. As there are only 12 spaces available for our Picos & Pyrenees - 10 Day Tour, you will need to pay a £1550 deposit reservation fee to secure your place. You can do this by completing the form below, you'll then be taken to our online payment platform to pay your reservation fee.

THE REQUIREMENTS
TO DRIVE WITH ALTITUDE DRIVERS CLUB
We accept many Supercars and Sports Cars on our tours, but some exclusions apply see our qualifying car list in the navigation bar above.. For more information, speak to one of our team.
We only require a £1400 deposit to reserve your booking and the balance isn't due until 8 weeks prior to departure. The balance can be split into monthly payments with final payment 8 weeks before the tour if you'd prefer to pay for your Supercar road trip that way. Please note that the deposit is fully refundable in the event of further COVID-19 government restrictions preventing us from travel to this area.
Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age to be able to join our trips and need to provide a copy of their drivers license to us at least 2 weeks before we set off. Each driver will be asked to sign an indemnity form also.
As part of the experience, we will share with you a Google map route link with turn by turn instructions along with a printed map on the day showing post code waypoints and stops. Participants will be asked to purchase a Mitex General professional handset or one of our compatible radios to allow our lead tour drivers to communicate with each vehicle along the way. We do insist on sensible driving but encourage this at a swift pace. Due to the nature of our tours as a group of dedicated drivers wanting the ultimate driving experience, we do not condone dangerous driving and drivers may be asked to leave the group if we find reckless behaviour that creates danger for other tour participants and road users.
We reserve the right to change any part of the route or hotel choices if unforeseen problems arise. We also reserve the right to cancel the tour and refund monies paid if circumstances stop us carrying out the tour.
Altitude Drivers Club are social driving adventures organiser and NOT- guided tours, races, rallies, time trials or competitive events organiser in any way.
