the tour
Embark on the Iberian Rally — a signature tour that blends world-class driving with uncompromising luxury across the dramatic landscapes of northern Spain and Portugal. From the elegant coastal city of Santander, we trace a handpicked route through mountain passes, sweeping valleys, and coastal highways. The roads between each destination are nothing short of spectacular — from the winding ascent into the Asturian mountains en route to Cangas del Narcea, to the flowing, open stretches that lead to the historic majesty of Santiago de Compostela, every mile is designed to thrill. As the journey unfolds, the driving becomes a rhythm — a dance between precision engineering and Europe’s most captivating scenery.
Crossing into Portugal, the route follows the twisting river roads of the Douro Valley to the refined charm of Porto, where two nights of sophistication and indulgence await at our Signature 5-Star Hotel. From there, we climb into the untamed beauty of the Serra da Estrela National Park before arriving at our former 14th-century Dominican monastery set among the tranquil vineyards of the Duero Valley, just outside Salamanca for a further two nights — where each corner reveals another breathtaking vista, and every drive is a masterclass in dynamic touring. Returning to Spain through sweeping open country to León, a city of rich heritage and quiet grandeur, before one final, glorious drive back to Santander. For this event, we have selected only the finest hotels throughout the journey, transforming one of our most exclusive experiences of 2024 into the ultimate driving and luxury accommodation escape. This is grand touring at its most refined — where performance meets poise, and every detail is elevated.
Please see the detailed daily itinerary below.
We look forward to welcoming you in 2026.

The route takes us through quiet rural landscapes and picturesque towns, with moments to stretch the legs or enjoy a scenic coffee stop along the way.
As we enter northern Portugal, the roads become a driver’s dream: flowing tarmac through the Minho wine region, peppered with terraced vineyards, Roman bridges, and charming stone villages.
Our final destination is the atmospheric city of Porto, perched along the Douro River and famed for its colourful riverside architecture, world-renowned Port wine cellars, and dynamic culinary scene. With its perfect blend of history and modern energy, Porto provides a striking contrast to the serenity of the earlier journey.

Pestana Douro Hotel Riverside Porto-5-Star- Nestled on the serene right bank of the iconic Douro River and just a ten‑minute drive from the historic heart of Porto, the Pestana Douro Riverside presents itself as a refined fusion of industrial heritage and contemporary luxury. Originally home to the Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonense, and later became a factory producing soaps, candles, and perfumes. Many official sources (including Pestana’s own branding) emphasize its connection to perfume and fragrance production, which is why the hotel’s interior design is themed around scents and flowers — such as lavender, jasmine, cherry blossom, etc. We will enjoy two nights at this incredible hotel.
A Day Off in Porto – Exploring the Soul of the City- After days of exhilarating drives and winding mountain roads, today is all about slowing down and soaking in the charm of Porto — a city that invites you to wander, taste, and take your time. Start your morning with a stroll along the Ribeira, Porto’s picturesque riverfront district where colourful facades lean over cobbled lanes and traditional boats bob gently on the Douro. Sip a slow espresso at a café overlooking the water, watching the city come to life.
Cross the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge on foot for panoramic views, then head into Vila Nova de Gaia, where the world’s most famous Port wine houses await. A private cellar tour and tasting is a must — learn about the region’s rich winemaking heritage and sample a range of aged ports in elegant surroundings. Back in the city, spend the afternoon exploring Porto’s historic core: visit the Livraria Lello, one of the world’s most beautiful bookshops; admire the blue-tiled churches; or simply lose yourself in the maze of narrow streets, each with its own story.
For lunch or dinner, Porto’s gastronomic scene won’t disappoint — from fresh Atlantic seafood and petiscos to modern Michelin-starred takes on Portuguese classics. As the sun sets, find a rooftop bar or river terrace to enjoy a final glass of wine and take in the city lights shimmering over the Douro. It’s a day to pause, recharge, and enjoy Porto’s perfect mix of authenticity, elegance, and easygoing energy — before the road calls again.

As we ascend into the Serra da Estrela foothills, the terrain becomes more dramatic — hairpin bends, sweeping valleys, and long, open straights carved into the mountainside offer pure driving pleasure. Along the way, we’ll pass through charming stone-built towns and isolated shepherd hamlets that feel untouched by time. The air grows cooler, the views broader, and the road ever more thrilling.
